Trio Gadjo

Trio Gadjo offers their spin on Django Reinhardt-inspired gypsy jazz with a bit of blues, swing and classic jazz thrown in for good measure. Band members Jason Durbin, Jeremy Elkam and Aaron Mahn have studied and performed traditional jazz, pop, classical, swing, and everything in between. Bringing to life the rhythmic, “jivey” melodies born on the streets of Paris during WWII, their upbeat, sometimes raucous renditions have been heard at venues as The Lodge at Torrey Pines Golf Course, Museum of Contemporary Art, University of California, San Diego and more. Recent performances range from adding an authentic jazz ambiance to candle-lit restaurants and intimate receptions to more upbeat shows for swing dances, music festivals, museums, and private events.
